I employ cinematic pictures, quotations and emotions to focus on the individual and the social responsibility positioned in an intricate relationship between stories, memory and history. I attempt to describe the ambiguity of our time through a poetic lens in association with the relationship between an individual and their surroundings and the shifting of narratives through different prospects. These fragments of a perspective journey depart from a phone call, a walk in the woods, a gaze in the morning or a phrase that doesn’t leave your head, but revolves over and over like a mantra. The protagonists of my videos and films are often lost in memory, whether it be their own or another’s.

I see myself more in the position of emphasizing the conflicts and doubts people share, rather than searching and presenting an escape route. I try to render these experiences in a supposed lonely world where the feeling of isolation prevails. The notion of the materialization of emotions is addressed using various fluid protagonists: underlining the divergence between role and reality. Many of my works examine mechanisms and viewing habits that represent the quest for recognition and to compare the construction of one's own identity with cultural images. In order to describe these processes, I deliberately use poetic, cinematic and narrative forms to explore and make memory, emotions, relationships and thought patterns tangible.
